We have arrived at yet another Lunch Club Tuesday at HQ. Today's venture??? Chick-Fil-A. Last year, one of the high schools sold discount cards to various restaurants and shops in the area, and the Chick-Fil-A discount was receive a free Chick-Fil-A sandwich with the purchase of large fries and a large drink.
(For the sake of brevity, Chick-Fil-A will henceforth be referred to in this blog as CFA.)
Anyway...my favorite thing to order has typically been either the nuggets or the CFA club. But it just so happens my throat is sore today, so I may just have to settle for soup. :o( What a disappointment!!!! I mean, eating soup at CFA just TOTALLY changes the joy of the experience for me! Oh well...I distinctly remember at exactly last year this time, I had the flu. There was no CFA, no leaving the house, no playing with the dog, no being out in civilization for a whole week. That was the pits. So I suppose a scratchy throat and CFA Chicken Noodle soup will not be so bad. :o)
Let's see, other news...
Valentine's Day was pretty typical. My favorite part was being able to sleep in and do absolutely nothing for a good part of the day. Of course, because I'm so accustomed to getting up early, "sleeping in" for me usually means 7:30 or 8:00 am. But in spite of that it was quite a treat, since the last few Saturdays have been full of activity.
Our Sunday services were great, especially the evening message on making it in. Brother Butler always blesses us and preaches from the heart. There was such a sweet spirit there Sunday night. It was almost as though if we had decided to stay all night, the Lord would have kept moving. Don't you just love those types of services? *sigh* He always knows what we need. There's just no one like Him.
Well I surely hope you all enjoy a blessed day in the Lord. Please join me in prayer to fight off this nasty cold or whatever it is that is trying to overtake my immune system. No doubt I'll have a good report to share soon!
Also, remember to pray for Brother Ard, Dupre, Smith, Oscar, and for Sister Smith as they travel Wednesday to Venezuela. We are living in some really exciting times. The Lord is conquering the enemy's territory every day. It won't be long until His return!
